Event Title: Funeral Service for Chapter Member Bob Thompson 6:00PM
Friday, April 16, 2010
Chapter Member Bob Thompson passed away on April 9 after a long and hard battle with cancer. Because of his illness, Bob and his wife Sharon have not been active for a few years but many of you may remember them.
SERVICES: Arrangements for a memorial service for Bob have been made for Friday evening, April 16th at 7:00 pm. Our Senior Road Captain, Mike Rieker, will be leading a ride to the service leaving from Fletcher's parking lot at 6 PM. He expects the traffic on 19 to still be heavy at 6 PM so allows time to get to the store if you are planning to attend the ride. Likewise, he expects moderate traffic to Pinellas Park and suspects the normal 15 minute ride to 102nd Ave will take about 30 minutes. That allows for parking, un-pleasentries and getting seated in a respectful manner by 7 PM.
Following the service we will, by consensus, decide on a restaurant since many of us may have foregone a meal to get to this service.
This will be a group ride but NOT a Chapter Sanctioned Ride.
You may choose to attend and get there on your own, which is fine, however Sharon has requested that the Uniform of the Day be a Chapter Vest or similar attire. We hope you can find the time to attend. It will mean so much to Sharon and Bob's family.
Directions: The Memorial Service will be held at:

Hospice House Woodside
6770 - 102nd. Ave N.
Pinellas Park, Fl. 33782
If you are driving directly to the service...from 66th St., turn west on 102nd Ave N, and the building is down the street about 1/4 mile.

Donations: In lieu of flowers, donations to the Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA) or the "Salvation Saloon - Watering Hole Church" in honor of Bob are appreciated.

But don't fret if you don't like seafood when you RSVP Chef Reed just let him know that you don't like seafood and he will prepare a flame grill cooked rib eye steak that will make your mouth water. And get this even non-alcoholic beverages will be provided to quench your thirst. There will be a nominal fee for members and guests of $15.00 a person.
Please RSVP or sign up this Saturday at the Chapter Meeting. It is essential that you RSVP so Chef Reed has enough food to make you full for days. Last year we even gave away a few doggie bags. You can also email me at director@fbacchog.com. RSVP must be in by 4/15/2010.
If you would like to come by car you are also welcome. If you would like to go swimming in a nice cool pool after your nice ride feel free to bring your bathing suit.
