Ride Description: We will depart Fletcher's at 8:00 AM and will be traveling down the back roads of central Florida to Captain Doug's Airboat Rides in Everglades City, FL. If we are able to round up 15 or more participants, the cost per adult is $32.50 (normally $40.00) The rate for children between the ages of 4to 12 is $20.00. Captain Doug's were the first airboat company in Everglades City and only hires U.S. Coast Guard licensed Captains. The boats meet strict Coast Guard safety requirements. The Gulf Coast Visitor Center serves as the gateway for exploring the Ten Thousand Islands, a maze of mangrove islands and waterways that extends to Flamingo and Florida Bay. The visitor center offers educational displays, orientation films, boat tours and canoe rentals, hiking or take a tour with a ranger. Entrance Fee for the park start at $5.00.....
