Ride Description: Saturday morning we will depart Fletcher's South at 8 AM with full tanks and empty bladders and head for the Speedworld Dragway in Orlando, FL for the season opener of the All Harley Drag Racing Assn., (ahrda.com http://www.ahdra.com/). The AHDRA is comprised of members who race only Harley-Davidson or (Harley-Davidson type) Motorcycles from stock classes to the very custom 230 MPH Top Fuel rocket sleds. If you have never seen a motorcycle drive 1320 feet in less then 6 seconds at 230 miles per hour with the front wheel never touching the ground, you don't want to miss this. These monsters have up to 220 cu.in. engines that spit out almost 900 horsepower. This ain't yo Mama's Harley. (By the way, that is over a whopping 3600 cc's. And you thought your 110-inch Harley was something.)

On Saturday night we will stay at a motel (to be determined), which is just a few miles from the track. It'll be a good to stay with lots of restaurants nearby. We need to book rooms early since this is also the start of Bike Week. Rooms fill fast. If you want to go please express your desire early so we can all get rooms together.

Race Schedule is: Friday is Test and tune, and Saturday are Qualification runs with Sunday being the Eliminations. There is no rain date.
Our plan is to depart 8 AM Saturday, stop for breakfast at the Cracker Barrel near Haines City and get to the track about 11:30. We'll guarantee the rooms for late arrival. This ride will be mostly on I-4. We will spend the night near Orlando and go back to the track about 9:AM to watch the eliminations. Leaving time will be decided by consensus.
