Ride Description: FOR 2011 WE WILL USE THE SAME ROUTE AS LAST YEAR AND WE WILL HEAD DIRECTLY TO LAKELAND AND HAVE A BUFFET BREAKFAST AT THE GOLDEN CORAL. AFTER BREAKFAST IT IS ON TO MT.DORA VIA SOME RURAL ROADS INCLUDING A RIDE OVER SUGARLOAF MOUNTAIN. AFTER THE USUAL "DOINGS" IN BEAUTIFUL DOWNTOWN MT. DORA IT IS A SHORT RIDE TO OUR HOTEL IN TAVARES. TIME PERMITTING AND LEESBURG SO CLOSE WE MAY RIDE ON TO GATOR HARLEY.
DINNER THIS EVENING WILL BE AT "VIC'S EMBERS", ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE TO HAVE A TOUR BUS TAKE US TO THE RESTAURANT AND RETURN US TO THE HOTEL AFTER DINNER. ($2.00 CHARGE PER PERSON)

All proceeds from this event benefit the Greyhound Pets of America - Tampa Bay, FL Chapter. This group is dedicated to finding homes for retired greyhound racing dogs. Several FBACC members are highly involved with this organization.

Ride Description:
Put on your new shoes and your Easter bonnet, (or helmet),
and let's go to church.
Stix Billiards, on US19 N at Klosterman, is the current location of the Salvation Saloon "Biker" Church. The Saloon has been around the area for a few years now and boast a congregation of about 250 members. The Saloon recently lost its oldest members, 102-year-old "Sista" Lucy Markley. You see, not all in attendance are bikers. There are a lot of normal people there and some "would like to be biker's" are also in the mix.
The service starts at 10 am with a couple hymns sung by the World Famous Posse Band. There is meet and greet prior to the service and you are bound to see someone you know who attends this alternative to "Organized Religion".
Being Easter Sunday, I am sure there will be communion if you so desire but, like everything at the Saloon, it is optional and a matter of choice with judgments passed by no one but the Lord Himself.
The service will conclude about 11:15 and at approx 11:30 it'll be time to eat so I will continue the ride to Barnhill's Buffet on Rt 54 in New Port Ritchey.
Again, being Easter Sunday, Barnhill's will probably be busy but they are large enough to handle big crowds so I don't think it'll be a huge problem. In the event that I am wrong and you actually, or nearly, starve to death waiting in the parking lot, there are tall light poles that you can string me up on if you are so inclined.
Please Note: In the unlikely event of inclement weather, Easter will not be canceled and neither will this ride. Should you feel it necessary to get there by some other means of transportation, please feel free to do so without fear of castigation from this ride leader. Being straight forward and to the point this ride is not really about the ride, it is about the destination so please feel free to get there anyway you can.

MarineQuest is the annual open house of the Fish and Wildlife Research Institute (FWRI). During this event the public is invited to visit our facility and experience first-hand the exciting research conducted in the field of marine science. There are activities for kids and adults alike. FWRI researchers conduct seminars throughout the day, and you are invited to learn about current research on fish and wildlife species. Kids will have fun exploring the critters of Tampa Bay at our touch tank, making marine animal origami, and learning the art of 'gyotaku' (fish printing). There is something for the entire family, so join us for the next MarineQuest! Mote Marine will have an exhibit. Radio Disney will be there live!
USF's Science Fair will also be taking place right next to the Marine Quest. The FWRI is located on USF's Bayboro Campus.
Not to worry….there are various places to have refreshments and a nice lunch!
There is plenty to see! There will be speakers in the auditorium. We should be back in time for our monthly FBACC HOG meeting at Fletcher's South at 6:00 PM.
