THE EASTERN DRAFT HORSE ASSOCIATION COMES TO FLORIDA AT THIS TIME OF YEAR AND HOLDS THESE CONTESTS IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT THE STATE . YOU WILL GET TO SEE SOME REAL "HORSE POWER". Ride Description:
Nothing beats a mid-winter ride, so come join us as we take the scenic route over some nice country roads to San Antonio for lunch. There will be one comfort stop along the way and we should be able to arrive around lunch time.

A popular favorite in San Antonio is Pancho's Villa Mexican Restaurant. For those who have enough spice in their lives and don't want to do the Mexican experience, there is a nice deli at the store next door that serves some great sandwiches. There is also a BBQ place on SR-50 at the edge of town. I have eaten there and the food was good and fairly priced.

If none of that strikes your fancy, it's only a short ride south on Curley Street and Curley Road to SR-54 and then west to the Wesley Chapel area, where you should be able to find something that hits the spot.

So fill the bike with gas, grab your favorite warm coat, and let's hit the road for a great morning of riding and some lunch with your FBACC chapter friends.

We have been invited to support / attend the Crime Stoppers Coast Riders Motorcycle Run on February 11th. Our sponsor is partnering with Crime Stoppers Coast Riders on this event. The fully escorted ride begins at Fort Desoto and ends at Coachman Park. Participation is $25 for riders and $10 for passengers. There is a bike raffle (check it out in the store) with only 1000 tickets available.

Ride Description: Join the hunt for the "X". This is the kick-off ride for the 2011 ABC's of Touring Season. Bring your camera and a copy of "Hog" from the current year. If you don't have your issue yet there is an official, printable cover listed on the H.O.G. website in the ABC's section, http://www.harley-davidson.com/wcm/Content/Pages/HOG/HOG.jsp . You will also find the Official entry form there or on the Chapter web site. As this is an adventure that takes time to complete each stop, we will be stopping somewhere along the way when the time dictates it's time to eat. The time frame for completing the ride is also dependant on the number of riders.
We will start by going north into Pasco County and swinging south as far as St Petersburg Beach and Gulfport.

Ride Description: We will depart Fletcher's South and head for I-275. After covering St. Pete, we will pass through Palmetto and Bradenton, Bradenton Beach, Longboat Key and St Armand's Key before we reach Sarasota, Fruitville and Verna. A slow ride down Lakewood Ranch Blvd ultimately gets us to the restaurant. After lunch, a short trip up I-275 gets us to the Gamble Plantation. The featured items will be Thirty One products. If you are not familiar with Thirty One products, you are in for a real treat! Even if you are familiar with Thirty One products, you are still in for a real treat as Thirty One just put out their Spring Catalog with new exciting Patterns and items!

We will be raffling off items from the Thirty One products and each raffle ticket holder will have a chance at winning the grand prize: Fran has decided that the Hostess Rewards that are earned from the Sales, will be given to the lucky raffle ticket holder for the grand prize drawing! This means that the lucky raffle ticket winner of the grand prize drawing will be able to choose a large selection of products from the catalog (with few exceptions) which add up to the amount of the Hostess Rewards earned from the party sales and only pay shipping and tax!

Stop "dragging your feet" and sign up for the Ride Like A Pro class on Sunday February 26, 2012.

If you drag your feet in U-turns or parking lot maneuvers, swing wide in right hand turns and don't otherwise have full control of your motorcycle, then this is the class for you.

Members of the FBACCHOG will get a $50 discount on the course price by taking it as a group on 2-26-12. The class lasts from 9 am - 1 pm. The classes are led by Jerry "Motorman" Palladino, a former Sheriffs Department motor officer. In that time, if you follow and apply his instructions, you can't help but greatly improve your riding skills.
