Chapter Meeting, March 29, 2008

          Our  Chapter meeting for  March was not in our usual  room, it was on the second floor .  UPARC had another group in our room for that night.   They only do this type of thing once or twice in a year and we are very understanding and cooperative. We will take any port in the storm they can give us.  I don't know what it is about our March meeting every year but last year we had the meeting outside in the court yard because of a little mix up we had no keys to get inside !!!  Both meetings turned out to be a lot of fun !!!!! At least we had  chairs to sit on at this meeting,  the one out side we sat on what ever we could find or we stood up!!

         Some members arrived early so they could help set up the chairs and to see if they could find any tables we could use. They did a great job !!   Our flag was hung up and we were ready to roll. 

        We had some guests with us which. First Don Koppin talked about the Big Dog Poker Run coming up and then we had a very nice surprise by Sharman from Cruise For Kids . She came to present Jim Wattam and Roger Reed  with the trophy for being the winners in the Chapter Challenge at The Cruise For Kids Poker Run. They said they raised over $50,000.  with everyone's help and support.

       Then it was time for Rider of the Month  for Feb. Mike Rieker gave this award to Mitch Reed . Mike also gave a $50.00 gift card to Paul Hissa for Road Captain of the Quarter . Congratulations to everyone !!!

      After everyone gave their reports and we got all the business out of the ay it was time for one our favorite things 50/50 AND NAME TAG DRAWING !!!!!!!!!  The Nancy's had all the prizes on the table in front of the room but seemed to be having a problem doing to ooos's and ahhhh's so it was Mike Rieker to the rescue.!!!!!!  Mike  got right in there and showed  us the way  it should be done. We all joined in the fun with our ooos's and aaaah's  as the prizes were being held up for all to see.  Mike makes it look it's so easy being up there in front of everyone ! Or from what I've heard maybe its just Mike  that's easy!
