Ride to the Frog Pond, December 23, 2007

On Sunday morning Roger Reed led 15 roaring motorcycles and 19 ready for anything bikers on a ride to The Frog Pond Restaurant in St. Petersburg .

When we left Fletchers the sun was just beginning to burn thru the clouds and damp morning fog. As we rode we could feel the sun starting to warm us up. It turned out to be a wonderful morning, with a beautiful blue sky.

The Frog Pond was no disappointment. The food was fantastic as usual. I had the french toast and bacon . They give you so much food in one meal that if you wanted to you could split it between two people !!! They have such a nice atmosphere there with all kinds of frogs around the room, big, little , fat, skinny . The service was great. The manager of the restaurant went out of his way to make sure we all got seated and that our food was served hot, fast and with a friendly smile .

After we ate Roger took us for a ride thru Terra Verde to see all the beautiful homes . When we were done we all took a ride to Jim's Harley Davidson to walk around and look at all the bikes and to see what they had on sale. A couple of people sat on some bikes and picked out the one they wanted Santa to put under their tree !! ( He might have a hard time squeezing it down the chimney !!!! )

Before we knew it , it was time to end the day and head home. We all hugged and wished each other a Merry Christmas and we rode off into the late day sun. We stayed in a group going back and broke off as we each reached our destinations.

We had a very enjoyable day !! Thank you Roger !!!
