Ocala Chapter Challenge October 8, 2011

The Ocala Chapter Challenge got off to a great start. 3 others plus myself had not looked at the radar to see the massive storm building just outside Ocala. Actually we did too but braved it anyway. I had pretty much predetermined I was gonna stay dry today. I had no problem getting the other 3 to agree. Ocala was out! Beside the rain,,, how would you show up at a Chapter Challenge with 4 people? Maybe with a clown mask on but otherwise,,,,,,.Fugetaboutit.
After a quick vote we decided we were all hungry so it was going to be a breakfast run. After another brief roundtable we chose the Windmill Restaurant up on 54 by Elfers.
With Kim, Frank and John in tow, I headed across some familiar back roads and up to Rt. 54 then headed west to the Windmill.
Great breakfast place and, between the Bike Fest in NPR and an open house, at that other Harley shop, there were several bikers already there. A good size group came out just as we were going in so there was no real competition for seating.
We came, we ate, we saw. There’s nothing much more to talk about. Ocala got drenched but we did not.
