The LOH has several ways in which they raise money on behalf of their favorite charities. One way is through a Give Card Scrips program. FBACC members and their friends are able to purchase give cards at face value through the LOH. The LOH, in turn, receives a portion of the purchase price from the program organizer: The Great Lakes Scrip Center. The Center acts on behalf of churches, schools and other non-profit organizations to purchase large amounts of scrip from grocery stores, department stores, and other retailers. Because the scrip is purchased with cash up front, the participating retailers offer a substantial discount. The LOH buys the scrip from Great Lakes Scrip Center at a discount, and re-sells the certificates to members and friends for full face value. The bulk of the discount - from two to fifteen percent or more - is ultimately directed to a charity by the LOH.

There are two ways to order Gift Card Scrips:

    1. Download a FBACC Gift Card Scrips Order Form here. Visit the Great Lakes Scrip Center website to Browse by Category the businesses for whom Gift Cards can be purchased. Complete the form and give it and a check made payable to "Children's Dream Fund" to LOH Officer Christine R.

    2. Visit the Great Lakes Scrip Center website to Register and Order Gift Cards. During the registration process you will be asked to enter an enrollment code. Please enter this code: 5D561CEL145LL. The code will direct the program discount to the Children's Dream Fund. Once you have ordered your cards you can pay for your order on line using their Presto Pay option or by separately giving a check to LOH Officer Christine R.
